School No. 24 Launches Pilot Engineering Classes
Bishkek, October 22, 2026. School No. 24 named after A. Tokombaev officially launched the pilot project “RUZR Engineering Classes.” The event brought together 11th-grade students and young researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences Research Station in Bishkek.
The project is being implemented as part of the international humanitarian programme “Russian Teacher Abroad,” with the support of the Bishkek City Mayor’s Office Department of Education. It aims to strengthen engineering and technical education in schools and introduce students to careers in high-tech industries.
Gulmira Akmatova, Head of the Education Quality Control and Methodological Support Department at the Bishkek City Mayor’s Office Department of Education, attended the opening. She noted that the project would help students explore modern science and make informed choices about engineering and technical careers.
Researchers from the laboratories of the Russian Academy of Sciences Research Station spoke with the students:
- Ekaterina Alekseevna Lazareva — Junior Researcher at LKI and Acting Academic Secretary of the RAS Research Station in Bishkek;
- Ekaterina Valeryevna Vorontsova — Junior Researcher at LKI;
