“The Turkic World of Greater Altai.”
On May 12, a significant event took place at our school — the grand opening of the themed classroom “The Turkic World of Greater Altai.”
The new educational space opens unique opportunities for students to study the history, ethnography, and shared cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
The opening ceremony was attended by a distinguished international delegation of scholars:
Yulia Aleksandrovna Lysenko — Director of the “Greater Altai” Research and Educational Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at Altai State University (ASU).
Sergey Petrovich Grushin — Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at ASU.
Zhamiykat Orozobekovna Omurova — Head of the Representative Center of the “Greater Altai” Research and Educational Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies at Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn (Bishkek), who accompanied the Russian colleagues.
The honored guests cut the traditional red ribbon, symbolizing the official opening of the themed classroom.
The delegation met with the student project team. The guests highly appreciated the enthusiasm and the first achievements of the students. ASU professors held a warm and engaging discussion with the schoolchildren, answering their questions about modern science, archaeological discoveries, and the cultural ties between our countries.
The main outcome of the meeting was the official launch of a large-scale scientific project at the school level.
The opening of the classroom is not simply the appearance of a new educational space, but the launch of a research platform. Now our students will be able to take their first steps into serious science and participate in international research programs under the guidance of leading scholars from Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
We congratulate the school on this new milestone in its development and wish the students bright scientific discoveries and great success!
