“65th Anniversary of the First Human Space Flight Celebration at School”
On April 10, a school event was held dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human flight into space. The concert program included information about scientists, the emergence of the first rockets, their testing, and astronauts.
The choir of Grade 4 “V” students performed the song “I Will Fly on a Rocket.” The vocal ensemble performed the song “Our Cheerful Crew.” Ibraimov Turar recited a poem about space. The dance ensemble “Ak-Maanay,” led by Tashmatova N.K., presented the dance “Pulse of the Earth.”
The hosts of the event, Akyl and Nicole, conducted a quiz with the audience titled “What Do I Know About Space?” Primary school students prepared crafts and drawings. An art exhibition of space-themed paintings was arranged in the school foyer.
Students of Grade 5 “A” created models of space rockets powered by a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. The reaction of this mixture simulated the launch of a rocket into the air. The students launched their rockets in the schoolyard.
All the students truly enjoyed participating in the event, learned a lot of new and interesting things, and demonstrated their creativity and skills.
