Through the stars back to schoolπ
On April 12, International Cosmonautics Day, Russian test cosmonaut, a native of Kyrgyzstan, Sergei Korsakov, returned to his first school years, which were spent at school-gymnasium β24 named after A. Tokombaev.
Korsakov studied at our school until the 6th grade. As part of his visit, he was accompanied by Deputy Mayor of the capital Victoria Mozgacheva, Deputy Mayor of Pervomaisky district Aida Rysbayeva, head of the regional education center and director of the school Abduraimova Anara Khabibovna.
As part of the program, a video about the first manned flight into space by Yuri Gagarin, committed on April 12, 1961, is shown, along with other space travel in the history of mankind.
After Sergei Korsakov and the guys sang the song “Stars” by the Russian rock band “Umaturman”, the vocal part for the video clip was recorded while in orbit.
Then the ceremony of entry into the school children’s organization – the Republic of “Achyk-Asman” was held, then the dance “Manas” of the dance ensemble “Ak-maanay” was shown.
At the end, Korsakov was presented with a national headdress ak kalpak and a Kyrgyz chapan.
The flight of Sergei Korsakov, a Russian test cosmonaut of the detachment of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Research Testing Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarin”, was launched on March 18, 2022 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on the Soyuz MS-21 spacecraft to the International Space Station as flight engineer No. 1, returned to Earth on September 29, 2022, the flight duration was more than 194 days (4,656 hours).
