Seminar-training “My life is in my hands!”
The first stage of a series of seminar-trainings on combating the spread of smoking among young people under the motto “My life is in my hands!” So, for the 7th parallel of our school, Amirov Shakhriyor, Khasanov Rasul and Chalbaev Erlan, 4th year students of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev. At the official opening of the event, Deputy Director for educational work Larisa Nikolaevna Kupavtseva spoke about the importance of working on cooperation with students on topical issues for schoolchildren. The students made an excellent presentation.
Nicotine replacement therapies such as gum and patches have been developed to help people who smoke to stop smoking. WHO recommends that people who smoke immediately take steps to quit using proven methods such as free smoking cessation hotlines, mobile text messaging programs and nicotine replacement therapy.
20 minutes after quitting smoking, the heart rate rises and blood pressure decreases. After 12 hours, the level of carbon monoxide in the blood drops to normal. Within 2-12 weeks, circulation improves and lung function improves. After 1-9 months, cough and shortness of breath decrease.
In conclusion, an interactive game was held to develop logic and consolidate the knowledge gained.
