✨✨ Seeing off our volunteer from Japan
As part of international cooperation and the volunteer program of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Narumi Tahara worked as an English language volunteer teacher at Secondary School No. 24 in Bishkek during the academic period. The main goal of his work was to improve students’ English proficiency, develop their communication skills, and introduce them to international culture.
The main objectives of the volunteer’s work were:
- to increase students’ motivation to learn English;
- to develop speaking skills and correct pronunciation;
- to introduce interactive and modern teaching methods;
- to familiarize students with the culture and traditions of other countries;
- to support English teachers in conducting lessons and extracurricular activities.
During his work, the following activities were carried out:
- conducting joint English lessons with school teachers;
- organizing Speaking Clubs for students;
- holding interactive games, quizzes, and language competitions;
- assisting students in preparing for олимпиадs and school events;
- delivering cultural presentations and thematic lessons;
- participating in school celebrations and educational events.
As a result of the volunteer’s work, the following outcomes were achieved:
- increased students’ interest in learning English;
- improved speaking and listening comprehension skills;
- provided students with the opportunity to practice English with a native or international teacher;
- strengthened international cooperation and cultural exchange;
- enabled teachers to gain experience in applying new teaching methods.
The work of Mr. Narumi Tahara at Secondary School No. 24 in Bishkek made a significant contribution to the development of language education and international cooperation. The lessons and activities conducted helped increase student motivation and improve the quality of English language learning.
The school expresses its sincere gratitude to the volunteer and JICA for their cooperation, support, and valuable contribution to the educational process.
