PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH TEACHERS IN “LINGUA”
From October 8 to December 3, 2022, the English language teachers of the gymnasium school No. 24 Daminova K.S., Suyunova M.D., Tuuganbayeva A.S., Bakytbekova E.B., took part in advanced training at the English language school “Lingua” in Bishkek. Project “Supporting National Reforms to Improve Education in English”, supported by the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the program, 36 hours were spent on the topic “Teaching Media Literacy and Gender Equality in the EFL classroom” in a foreign language and important issues in teaching English were identified, such as involving students in the learning process and motivating them to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
