“Our Voice” – School Debate League

To honor of the International Day for the Protection of Personal Data was held traditional league of debates. 

On the afternoon of January 28, 2023, at our gymnasium, at the initiative of the School Republic, a school debate league among grades 7-11 was held dedicated to the International Day for the Protection of Personal Data. In total, more than 16 teams participated in the tournament, which consisted of 4 participants in each of them. The solemn event was opened by the vice-Principal for educational work Larisa Kupavtseva. In her speech, she noted the orientation of today’s youth in achieving their goals and identified the correctly-argued stand up for their own position as one of the most important factors for self-development. Concluding her speech, she wished the class success in the upcoming game. Then the teams were escorted to the rooms of the direct competition. During the game, an interesting and exciting journey into the world of various problems of our time for young people took place. In particular, such current topics as “Copyright”, “Feminism”, “Latest technologies”, “Geopolitics through the eyes of schoolchildren”, “Personal data”, etc. were considered.

Such questions aroused great interest among the participants and the discussion of the topics raised was meaningful. Refereeing in the games was carried out by experienced members of the School Republic and representatives of student initiatives. As a result, in the podium of the winners, the team “People in Black” took the third place, the team “Zhogorku Kenesh” won the second place, and the team “Toksiki” took the first place. Also, for his distinctive performance and special activity during the debate, a student of class 11 “G” Daniyar uulu Nurdin was awarded the nomination «The best speaker of ShG No. 24 named after. A. Tokombaev». The award ceremony was carried out by the vice-Principal for Extracurricular Activities Ularbek Kasymbek uulu.
