“Culture of Japan” master classes
On March 3, 2023, within the framework of the English language month, the wife of the Ambassador of Japan, Mrs. Yuri Goda, visited the school-gymnasium No. 24 named after Aaly Tokombaev. At the meeting, students of the humanitarian direction, studying Japanese, prepared a small concert for the guests as a sign of friendship between our countries.
In turn, the wife of the Japanese Ambassador, Yuri Goda, made a colorful presentation, illustrated with photographs and drawings, about the original and rich in traditions of the culture of Japan.
The wife of an employee of the Japanese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Okawa Niromi, the spouses of JICA employees Haraguchi Megumi, Nagase Miho, and Tabyldieva Nursuluu, an employee of the cultural department of the Japanese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, held a master class for students of grades 7-11 studying Japanese.
During the workshop, participants were able to make origami, which is considered the Japanese art of folding paper figures. The students also learned how to use Japanese sticks for speed and received medals made by our guests as a gift.
We thank our guests for the event, thanks to which the participants were able to experience the incredible culture and customs of Japan. This event was held by the teachers of the department of foreign languages of the school-gymnasium No. 24 named after Aaly Tokombaev.
